Job Opportunity at Lammermuir House Care Home
Located in the charming seaside town of Dunbar, Lammermuir House Care Home offers a unique and inspiring place to work, with stunning views over the Firth of Forth. Just minutes from local shops, cafés, and public transport – and with easy access to the A1 – our home is ideally placed for both convenience and a peaceful coastal setting.
Lammermuir House provides high-quality care for up to 48 residents with nursing needs, within a purpose-built, modern facility.
Care Assistant Contract
- Care Assistant – Days – 33 hours per week – £14.03 per hour
- Care Assistant – Nights – 33 hours per week – £15.07 per hour
- Flexible Bank Contract Available
- Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will support residents with daily routines, personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing while encouraging independence wherever possible. What Matters Most
- A kind, compassionate and respectful approach towards others
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Genuine passion for supporting older people and promoting wellbeing
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Previous care experience or SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is beneficial but not essential
