Our Care Professionals, are the heart and soul of Home Instead. They go above and beyond for our clients, which is why we're so proud of them. With minimum visit times of one hour, our Care Professionals have time to chat and build strong bonds of trust with our clients.

Job Description

Home Instead Livingston cover West Lothian and the surrounding areas, including Bathgate, Broxburn, Linlithgow, Bo'Ness, Winchburgh, Kirkliston and Balerno.

We are looking for Care Professionals who can work 4 days a week 7am-2.30pm AND/OR 2.30pm - 10pm - MUST work at least 1 evening a week and alternate weekends

Responsibilities

Being a Care Professional is an essential role supporting older people to live well at home. With the support of our team and industry leading training, you can feel fully equipped to deliver the high-quality care Home Instead has become known for.

Here’s what you could be doing:

  • Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
  • Help with everyday tasks from cooking a meal to light housework
  • Helping your client access their community by accompanying them to the shops or appointments
  • Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing, and grooming to keep them healthy and independent

Qualifications

We are looking for kind and compassionate people like you to join our Home Instead team. Whether you have direct experience in care, personally or professionally, or are just starting out – we offer industry leading training to all of our Care Professionals to help you help others.

Our only requirements are:

  • A caring nature, and the desire to make a positive impact on others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to our clients' needs
  • Aged 18 or older
  • A driving license & access to a reliable vehicle (as you may be required to take clients out and about)
