Role Description

This full-time Care Assistant role is based in Braintree district, completing client visits in the local area. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role also involves:

  • Following care plans
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting individuals with dementia or complex needs
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent and respectful care

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust, listen actively, and maintain clear, respectful interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Caregiving experience and dementia care knowledge to support individuals with varying physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  • Manual handling skills and an understanding of safe mobility practices to assist clients while minimizing risk of injury.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing client needs in a hybrid work environment.
  • Basic IT skills to complete digital care notes and communicate using email or care management systems.
  • Relevant care qualification or training (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, and person-centered care principles.
  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo background checks and necessary training.
