We are recruiting caring and reliable Care Assistants / Care Professionals in the Truro and Falmouth area to join our growing Home Instead team.
At Home Instead Truro, Falmouth & Redruth, we’ve proudly supported our local community since 2009. Our companionship-led care provides consistency and reassurance for our clients, helping them remain independent in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing (Home Care / Support Worker Duties)
- Providing genuine companionship care through conversation, reassurance, and emotional support. Enjoy a cup of tea, and bring warmth and connection as brighter summer days arrive.
- Supporting with personal care with dignity and respect including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, always tailored to each client’s needs. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure you feel confident and comfortable delivering personal care.
- Assisting with daily routines and mobility support in clients’ homes.
- Preparing nourishing meals and supporting hydration needs from light lunches to comforting evening meals that support health and wellbeing.
- Providing medication reminders (full paid training provided) to help clients stay on track with their routines.
- Completing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment.
- Building trusted, long-term relationships, providing reassurance and emotional support with clients as a consistent Care Professional, being a friendly familiar face clients can rely on.
- Minimum 1-hour visits so you have time to deliver quality care, build quality relationships, and take your time.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For - what matters most is who you are
- Previous experience in care or a similar role would be beneficial but is not essential full training and ongoing support will be provided, including the opportunity to complete the Care Certificate.
- We also welcome applicants with valuable life experiences, whether from raising a family, supporting loved ones, or working in people-focused roles, as these skills translate beautifully into compassionate care.
- No previous care experience required – full training provided.
- Life experience highly valued (e.g. caring for family, people-focused work, community roles).
- Naturally caring, empathetic, patient, and reliable, emotionally mature, and able to build trust.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Flexible and willing to support others in a home care setting.
- A full UK driving licence, Business Class 1 Insurance, and access to a vehicle (for community visits).
- Physically able to support mobility and carry out personal care safely.
- Availability to work some evenings, days, and alternate weekends.
