The Role

Care Professional – Time to Care | £13.25 per hour + Mileage

At Home Instead, we believe care should never be rushed. Every visit is a minimum of one hour, allowing genuine connections to build. If you value dignity, quality care, and a supportive team, this role could be perfect for you.


What You’ll Receive

  • £13.25 per hour (plus 30p mileage between clients)
  • Double pay on bank holidays
  • 12–16 hours to start, scaling as the roster grows
  • Every second weekend off
  • No-experience-needed training (with City & Guilds dementia training available)
  • Full support from local management

Your Availability

We need flexible care professionals who can work:

  • 7am–2.30pm or 3.45pm–9.45pm shifts
  • Alternate weekends (essential)
  • Some adjustments for client continuity

How You’ll Make a Difference

Our clients depend on us for stability, respect, and meaningful connection. Your days may include:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Personal care (washing, dressing, bathing)
  • Light household tasks
  • Medication reminders
  • Meal prep or appointment attendance

Who We’re Looking For

No prior care experience needed. We prioritise values, commitment, and compassion:

🚗 Valid UK driving licence and own vehicle (insured for business use) required.

Requirements

Essential

✅ Valid UK driving licence ✅ Own vehicle with business-use insurance ✅ Right to work in the UK ✅ Enhanced DBS clearance (obtain ready) ✅ Satisfactory references (employment or character)

✅ Health & Safety awareness/training ✅ Strong communication & empathy skills ✅ Ability to uphold confidentiality with discretion ✅ Physical fitness for personal assistance tasks ✅ Willingness to complete dementia training ✅ Punctuality & reliability
