Job Details

  • Providing a wide range of care and support to service users with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental health disorders to meet their assessed needs through goal setting objectives and in accordance with best practice taking account of Practice Standards. This role may include lone working, and all successful applicants will be expected to carry out all shift patterns on a rota basis, which include days, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and wakened nightshifts
  • Salary range is per year £26,786.83 - £29,170.80; this is a full-time post (36hrs per week) and a permanent contract. Enhancements for unsocial hours, sleepovers and public holidays are provided.
  • Fife Council will offer training and development to meet your SSSC registration requirements and will cover the cost of your annual SSSC registration. There is a generous annual leave allowance of 33 days, increasing to 38 days after 5 years’ service.
  • Auto enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme (LCPS)

The Person

  • To ensure you achieve registration with SSSC as part of the Social Care Workforce within 3 months of starting in a new role, you must apply for registration within 3 months of your start date on the Social Care Workforce - Support Worker register. To maintain your registration, you must hold or work towards the SSSC benchmark qualification for the role, complete the required Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) for the role and submit an annual declaration via MySSSC. The benchmark qualification for this role includes SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 5 or social services children and young people SCQF
  • Keeping accurate records of outcomes focused support planning and review for the people whom you support. Ensuring changes in service user health and wellbeing, care plans, risk assessments etc. are recorded and communicated across the team. To work as part of a team liaising with colleagues to ensure an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to service
  • Ability to travel within Fife.
