Job Description
We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Stansted Mountfitchet, United Kingdom. In this rewarding role, you'll provide essential support to elderly and vulnerable individuals, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life within their own homes. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community while working with a supportive and collaborative team. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, including some weekend and evening shifts to meet the diverse needs of those we serve.
- Provide personalized personal care support, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and continence management
- Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate records of care provided
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, accommodating dietary requirements and preferences
- Support clients with household tasks such as cleaning, ironing, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment
- Offer meaningful companionship and engage clients in activities both within their homes and in the local community
- Assist clients with attending appointments, social clubs, outings, and community events
- Maintain detailed and organized records of care activities and client information with strict confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the broader care team to ensure coordinated and person-centered support
- Identify and respond promptly to any changes in client health or well-being, reporting concerns to supervisors
- Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in adapting to individual client needs and preferences
- Uphold health and safety standards and follow all organizational policies and procedures

Qualifications
- Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and empathetically with diverse individuals
- Genuine compassion, empathy, and patience when working with elderly and vulnerable people
- Proactive, kind, and caring attitude with a commitment to person-centered care
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina and mobility to perform hands-on care tasks safely and effectively
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and professional behavior
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity and privacy of all clients
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability in responding to changing client needs
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a care team
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles in a care environment
- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification (preferred)
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance or willingness to undergo background checks (required)
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings as needed
- Ability to build trusting relationships and provide emotional support to clients and their families

Additional Information
We will provide you with:
- Part/full-time hours to suit your lifestyle
- £12.75-£15.00 per hour
- Wise pay - Access up to 50% of your salary before payday
- Length of service pay increases and rewards
- Travel time between clients

This role requires that the applicant resides in the UK and has the right to work in the UK. We are not sponsoring VISA applications at this time.
Compensation
GBP 12.75 - GBP 15.00 - hourly
