Role Description
The Care Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Southend-On-Sea. In this role, the Care Assistant supports clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light household tasks, while promoting independence and comfort. The Care Assistant assists with safe mobility and manual handling, observes and reports changes in clients’ health or wellbeing, and follows care plans and agency procedures. The role includes providing companionship, emotional support, and dementia care where needed, as well as maintaining accurate records and collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications

- Ability to perform safe Manual Handling and support clients with mobility and physical tasks.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Experience or training in Dementia Care and Caregiving, with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Basic care-related training or certifications (e.g., Care Certificate or equivalent) are beneficial.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time on-site in Southend-On-Sea.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans and safety procedures.
- Willingness to complete ongoing training and professional development in home care and safeguarding.
