Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Sawbridgeworth. This is a rewarding permanent position where you will make a genuine difference in the lives of our service users. You will provide essential support and care in a community-based setting, working alongside an experienced team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. - Provide personal care support to service users, including assistance with daily living activities such as washing, dressing, and grooming
- Support service users with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users, including their homes and communal spaces
- Communicate effectively with service users, listening to their needs and preferences with patience and empathy
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Assist with meal preparation and support service users with eating and drinking where required
- Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or wellbeing to appropriate team members
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Support service users with social activities and engagement to promote their wellbeing and independence
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, safeguarding procedures, and organisational policies
- Undertake training and development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in care provision

Qualifications
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential for this community-based role)
- Local residency to the Sawbridgeworth area
- No previous care experience required – we will provide comprehensive induction training
- Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with service users and colleagues
- Physical fitness and ability to provide hands-on personal care support
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to attendance
- Willingness to work flexibly, including potential shift work patterns
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance (or willingness to undergo this as part of the recruitment process)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding health and safety
- Resilience and the ability to manage the emotional demands of care work
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults and making a positive difference to their lives
- Desirable: First Aid certification or willingness to undertake training
- Desirable: Experience in a care, healthcare, or customer service environment

Additional Information
We will provide you with:
- Part/full time hours to suit your lifestyle
- £12.75-£15.00 per hour
- Wise pay-Access up to 50% of your salary before pay day
- Length of service pay increases and rewards
- Travel time between Clients

This role requires that the applicant resides in the UK and has the right to work in the UK. We are not sponsoring VISA applications at this time.
Compensation: GBP 12.75 - GBP 15.00 - hourly
