I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Personal Care
The client is very mobile and independent with their personal care. They are able to manage their own washing and dressing, so personal care assistance is not currently required.
The carers should, however, be attentive to any changes in the client's needs and report concerns to the appropriate person.
Shift Pattern and Breaks
The two carers will share the day and night shifts and rotate regularly, ensuring that both carers have an equal share of day and night duties.
When working the day shift, each carer will have a 2-hour break each day.
Good communication between the two carers will be essential to ensure a smooth handover and consistent support for the client.
Parking
Please note that there is no free parking available close to the client's home.
Free parking is available in a nearby area, approximately 20 minutes' walk or a 5 min bus ride from the property. Applicants should take this into consideration when deciding whether the position is suitable for them.
