We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team of Care Professionals / Care Assistants to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing personal care, companionship and home help to older people to allow them to live independently in their own homes.You do not need any home care experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistant and we encourage people from different sectors to apply, whether that is: NHS, retail, hospitality, childcare, customer service, delivery driving. We provide FULL training from the start.Job DescriptionCare Assistant Benefits:Excellent pay rates - from £13.60 to £14.10 per hour, plus enhanced bank holiday ratesMinimum of 1 hour calls - so you have the time needed with clients to care Types of hours available - from 10 hours part-time to 35+ hours full timeMileage - paid business mileage Travel time - paid, protected travel time between visits Training - paid, award-winning, training and ongoing support with genuine career development opportunities Employee assistance programme - available 24/7 Exclusive discounts scheme – at supermarkets, utility providers and moreDiscounted gym membership - at local Xcite facilities Employee referral bonus - on successful referral of friendsWhat does being a Care Assistant involve?Being a Care Assistant/ Care Professional is a highly rewarding career where no two days are the same!You will be introduced to all new clients, and Care Professionals are matched to clients based on personality, background, hobbies and interests. With a minimum of 1 hour visits you have time to provide high quality, person focused care.Duties can include:Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visitHelp with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light houseworkAccompanying to appointments or shoppingPersonal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independentQualificationsPrevious care experience is welcome, but not required. This could be from working in a care home, as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or in the NHS.
