As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing personal care, companionship and home help to older people to allow them to live independently in their own homes.You do not need any home care experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistant and we encourage people from different sectors to apply, whether that is: NHS, retail, hospitality, childcare, customer service, delivery driving. With a minimum of 1 hour visits you have time to provide high quality, person focused care.Duties can include:Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visitHelp with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light houseworkAccompanying to appointments or shoppingPersonal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independentQualificationsPrevious care experience is welcome, but not required. This could be from working in a care home, as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or in the NHS.
