We are currently looking for compassionate Care Professionals to join our dedicated branch covering Hertsmere and South Hertfordshire. 📍 Work Locations As this is a community-based role, you will be traveling to support clients within their local communities. We proudly provide high-quality care across the region, primarily covering:

  • Potters Bar & Surrounds (EN6): Potters Bar, South Mimms, and Darkes Lane.
  • Borehamwood & Elstree (WD6): Borehamwood and Elstree.
  • Radlett & Shenley (WD7): Radlett and Shenley.
  • Bushey & Surrounds (WD23): Bushey and Bushey Heath.

🚗 A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role due to the geographical nature of the rounds.

💷 Highly Competitive Pay: £14.70 – £16.50 per hour + 30p per mile. ✨ Guaranteed Hours Available: Giving you the ultimate peace of mind and security of regular, predictable work. ✨ Full Shift Pay Opportunities: Speak to our team about our opportunities to be paid for your full shift!

(Flexible shift patterns including 7 days a week are available to suit your lifestyle. Day shifts: 07:00 – 14:00, Evening shifts: 14:00 – 22:00).

Job Description

💙 What You’ll Be Doing You’ll help vulnerable clients live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. Following personalised care plans designed to promote dignity and respect, your responsibilities will include:

  • 💊 Medication support (preparation and administration)
  • 🚶 Mobility support (including the safe use of aids and equipment)
  • 🍽️ Mealtime support (preparing meals/snacks, and feeding if required)
  • 🏡 Light domestic duties (laundry, making beds, light cleaning)
  • 💧 Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care)
  • 🤝 Companionship (building meaningful relationships and emotional support)

  • 💊 Medication Management – collecting prescriptions, reminders, safe administration
  • 🍲 Nutrition & Mealtimes – cooking nutritious meals, considering dietary needs

  • 👀 Health Monitoring – observing and reporting changes in condition
  • 🌍 Social Inclusion – helping maintain community and family connections
  • 💬 Emotional Support – empathy, reassurance, and a listening ear
  • 📝 Documentation – accurate record keeping
  • 🛡️ Safety & Emergency Response – creating safe environments, acting quickly when needed
  • 🤝 Collaboration – working closely with colleagues, professionals, and families

Qualifications

🦸 What You’ll Need (Besides a Cape!) You don’t need formal care experience! The skills you’ve gained from raising a family, caring for loved ones, or running a household are exactly what makes a brilliant Care Professional. Full, paid training is provided. We’re looking for:

  • ✅ Genuine empathy, compassion, and respect for others
  • ✅ Reliability, punctuality, and a naturally caring nature
  • ✅ Patience and active listening skills to truly understand our clients' needs
  • ✅ Resilience and adaptability—because no two days (or clients!) are exactly the same
  • ✅ A keen eye for detail to spot any changes in a client's health or well-being
  • ✅ The ability to use your initiative and stay calm under pressure
  • ✅ Willingness to learn new skills and participate in continuous training
  • ✅ Great communication and a collaborative team spirit
