Company Description

Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With a minimum visit of one hour (this ensures you have good time to carry out care as it should be and to build a relationship with your client), award-winning training, and an excellent reputation, we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We refer to you as "Care Professionals". This is because our care assistants are doing an amazing job, and we see you as professionals after being trained by us.

Job Description

THIS ROLE IS UK BASED AND THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK WILL NEED TO BE ESTABLISHED AS PART OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS. We are not sponsoring VISA applications at this time.

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life of our clients in the London Borough of Hackney. Every one of our clients is unique and special, the joy and comfort our clients receive from one of our Care Professionals visiting them makes this an incredibly rewarding job.

Duties include:

  • Reflect the core values of Home Instead
  • Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life.
  • Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions.
  • Maintain regular communication with line manager and office staff.
  • Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit.
  • Home help - help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light housework.
  • Accompanying to appointments, local activities, or shopping.
  • Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing, and grooming to keep them healthy and independent.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel to clients’ homes.
  • You will be required to undergo a full DBS check.
  • You do not need any care qualifications or formal experience to become a Care Professional as we will provide you with our award-winning training. We have Care Professionals working for us who have been stay-at-home mums, semi-retired school teachers, or retired but would like part-time work.
