Full & Part-Time | Days or Nights | £12.76 - £17.01 per Hour | Permanent
Location: Hillside Residential Care, Redhill, South Hereford
Days - Early shift 7am - 3pm Late shift 2pm - 10pm £12.76 per hour
Night shift 9:30pm-7:30am (night) £12.76 - £17.01 per hour Enhanced rate paid (11pm-6am) £17.01

About The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with daily living tasks while promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, and social connection. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and tailored care.

Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care and daily living tasks
- Promote independence and wellbeing in a safe, homely environment
- Encourage social engagement and maintain community and family connections
- Assist with mobility, moving & handling, and use of equipment safely
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records (where trained)
- Work with colleagues and professionals to follow care plans and ensure high-quality care
Night staff must remain awake and ensure resident safety, including fire safety procedures.
About You
We welcome applicants with care experience or those eager to start a rewarding career in care — full training is provided.
You Will:
- Have experience in health/social care or a strong willingness to learn
- Demonstrate compassion, respect, and sensitivity to individual needs
- Support an enabling approach that promotes independence
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality
- Be flexible to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and nights
- Be willing to complete relevant training and qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Care)
