We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable Care Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated Care Team at Bridgemead Home, our residential care home for older people in Bath.

Our enthusiastic team provides high-quality care and support 24 hours a day, helping residents live with dignity, comfort and independence. As a Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of our residents through person-centred care and meaningful relationships.

Bridgemead Home is a 32-bed residential care home by the river in central Bath. The health, well-being and happiness of our residents is of primary importance to us. The home cares for those who live with dementia and respite care in Bath. View our lovely home here.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
  • Help a resident with personal cleanliness such as helping a resident with a bath.
  • Support residents to eat and drink.
  • Get to know residents so as to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
  • Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
  • Treat our residents with dignity and respect.
  • Support our residents to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.
  • Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks when needed.
  • Assist in the care at end of life.

About you:

  • You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
  • You need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our clients; and
  • You need to be well-organised, adaptable and practical.

Experience in providing care and an understanding of dementia is essential.

Hours:

Full Time hours: 36 hours per week.

12 hour days shift, 8am - 8pm.
