About the Role We’re looking for kind, reliable Care Assistants to support older adults in their own homes in Deal, Sandwich & Dover, Kent. We are a brand-new office in the local community and are seeking caring individuals who genuinely want to make a difference as part of something new and exciting.

This is a part-time role with flexible shift options:

  • Morning shifts: 07:00 – 14:00
  • Afternoon shifts: 14:00 – 21:00 Shifts are available Monday to Friday, with alternate weekends required. Hours may vary as we build our client base.

At At Home Instead, our visits last at least an hour and are provided at an unhurried pace. Our focus is on delivering personal, meaningful care that makes a genuine difference in someone’s day.


What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll support older adults with essential tasks and companionship, such as:

  • Personal care and mobility
  • Preparing meals and hot drinks
  • Completing light household tasks (e.g., tidying, ensuring safety and comfort)
  • Providing companionship, conversation, and a friendly presence

Hours & Flexibility

Work hours vary as we establish our client base, with a mix of:

  • Morning shifts: 07:00–14:00
  • Afternoon shifts: 14:00–21:00
  • Alternate weekends required
