At Home Instead Southampton, visits are at least 1 hour, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your clients and deliver the care they deserve. We understand you are more than 'just a carer', and we deeply appreciate the difference you make.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients in their own homes.
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding as required.
- Administering medication as per care plan and following established protocols.
- Assisting with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Accompanying clients on appointments, errands, and social activities.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients' condition to the care management team.

Requirements
- Essential: A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to older adults.
- Essential: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Essential: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Essential: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Essential: Must be able to provide references.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a caregiving role, either professional or personal.
- Desirable: A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
