Job Description Care Professional – One‑Hour Visits | Time to Care | £13–£14 + Mileage Here at Home Instead, We believe care should never be rushed. That’s why every visit we deliver is a minimum of one hour, creating the time and space for genuine, person-centred relationships. What You’ll Receive £13/hour weekdays, £14 on weekends Double time on bank holidays 30p mileage between clients 12–16 hours to start (more as the rota grows) Every second weekend off Full training – no experience needed City & Guilds-accredited dementia training available Supportive, respectful local management Guaranteed hours available after successful probation Employee Assistance Programme Refer a Friend: £300 Your Availability We’re looking for people who can work: 7am - 2.30pm and 3.45pm - 9.45pm shifts Alternate weekends (essential for this role) Some flexibility to support client continuity How You’ll Make a Difference Our clients rely on us for stability, respect, and genuine human connection. Your visits may include: Companionship and meaningful conversation Personal care (washing, dressing, bathing) Light household tasks Medication prompts Meal preparation Attending appointments or shopping Who We’re Looking For You do not need care experience. Values matter far more. Qualifications Essential Requirements: Valid UK Driving Licence Own vehicle with appropriate insurance for business use Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) Satisfactory references from previous employers or character referees Preferred Qualifications: Health and Safety awareness or basic training Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Physical fitness and mobility to support personal care tasks Willingness to undertake City & Guilds-accredited dementia training and ongoing professional development Reliable transport and punctuality record Flexibility and adaptability to support client continuity Additional Information Be part of the Home Instead community and work with friendly like-minded people who share your values.
