Role Description
The Care Assistant role at CCH Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Chester. The Care Assistant will support individuals with daily living tasks such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and medication prompts, while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the wellbeing of people receiving care
- Documenting observations accurately
- Communicating any changes to senior care staff or healthcare professionals

The role also involves:
- Building trusting relationships with individuals and their families
- Contributing to care planning
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with company policies and regulatory standards
Care Assistants are expected to:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues
- Follow established procedures
- Participate in ongoing training to deliver consistently high-quality care
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide compassionate, person-centered support.
- Ability to assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities while maintaining dignity and respecting individual preferences.
- Attention to detail in recording information, following care plans, and adhering to health, safety, and safeguarding procedures.
- Reliability, flexibility, and the capacity to work effectively in a team and follow guidance from senior staff.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills for documenting care notes and accessing care-related information.
- Previous experience in care or support work is beneficial but not essential; full training can be provided.
- Relevant care-related qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) is an advantage.
- Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and to participate in ongoing professional development.
