Care Assistant - Part time

Part-Time Care Assistant – Deal, Kent

Company Description

We’re a brand-new office in the Deal, Sandwich & Dover, Kent community, looking for kind and reliable Care Assistants to support older adults in their own homes.

Flexible part-time shifts available:

  • Morning shifts: 07:00 – 14:00
  • Afternoon shifts: 14:00 – 21:00

Coverage required: Monday to Friday, with alternate weekends.

At Home Instead, we prioritise longer visits (minimum 1 hour) where care is meaningful, not rushed.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support older adults with:

  • Personal care and mobility assistance
  • Preparing meals and hot drinks
  • Light household tasks for a safe, comfortable home
  • Companionship, conversation and empathy

No experience? No problem! We provide full, paid training, including the Care Certificate, so no prior medical or care background is needed.

Person Specification

We’re looking for individuals with:

  • A warm, patient and caring nature
  • Strong communication skills (clear English required)
  • Ability to engage easily in chatting and conversation
  • Desire to help older adults enjoy a positive day

Hours Offered

Shifts vary as we build our client base, offering:

  • Morning shifts: 07:00–14:00
  • Afternoon/evening shifts: 14:00–21:00
  • Alternate weekends included

Requirements

You’ll need:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full driving licence + access to a car
  • Friendly, empathetic attitude
