Care Assistant – Polish & English Speaking | Home Instead Doncaster

Are you a kind, reliable and compassionate person who is fluent in both Polish and English? We have a rewarding opportunity to support a Polish-speaking client in their own home in Doncaster.

This is a part-time role offering up to 16 hours per week, with variable start and finish times based around the client’s needs and routine.

You’ll provide meaningful, person-centred support for a client living with a brain injury, helping with medication, meal preparation, companionship and enjoyable social activities such as trips to the cinema.

At Home Instead, we believe great care should never be rushed.

Every visit is a minimum of one hour, giving you the time to build trust, understand the client’s needs and provide care with dignity, patience and confidence.

What You’ll Receive

  • £13/hour weekdays, £14 on weekends
  • Double time on bank holidays
  • 30p mileage between clients
  • 12–16 hours to start (more as the rota grows)

Your Hours and Availability

We’re looking for someone who can offer reliable support and continuity for the client across the following availability:

  • 8am - 2.30pm and 4pm - 9pm shifts
  • Alternate weekends (essential for this role)
  • Some flexibility to support client continuity

How You’ll Make a Difference

Your visits will help the client feel safe, supported and connected, while maintaining as much independence and routine as possible. Support may include:

  • Companionship and meaningful conversation
  • Personal care (washing, dressing, bathing)
  • Light household tasks
  • Medication prompts
  • Meal preparation
  • Attending appointments or shopping

Qualifications

  • Driver with own car and UK driving licence
  • Be able to speak and understand Polish
