If you’re looking for a profession where you can bring your caring personality to work and change lives, look no further. Home Instead Doncaster is seeking Caré Professionals fluent in Polish to provide essential support in clients’ homes in the Doncaster area.
Job Description
A new part-time opportunity has opened at Home Instead Doncaster. We’re looking for an Advanced Support Worker with fluent Polish and English to assist our Ukrainian-speaking client.
This role offers:
- Up to 16 hours per week, working flexible shifts (based on client needs)
- A supportive environment where care is never rushed – visits last at least one hour to build meaningful relationships
- A focus on dignity and quality care
Key Responsibilities
You’ll support our client—who has a brain injury—by providing:
- Companionship and social engagement (e.g., cinema trips, outings)
- Medication assistance and light meal preparation
- Personal care (bathing, dressing, washing if needed)
- Company and conversation to enhance mental well-being
- Potential light household tasks or errands when appropriate
What You’ll Receive
Pay:
- £13/hour (weekdays)
- £14/hour (weekends)
- Double time on bank holidays
- 30p per mile for travel expenses

Your Availability
We need someone able to work flexible shifts, including:
- Morning shifts: 8:00am – 2:30pm
- Evening shifts: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
- Alternate weekends (essential for this role)
- A willingness to adapt for client continuity

Your role could include: ✔ Regular meaningful conversation ✔ Personal care support (bathing, dressing, mobility assistance) ✔ Assistance with tasks like meal prep and grocery shopping ✔ Attendance at doctor appointments if needed

Language Requirements
- Fluent Polish (must speak and understand clearly)
- Fluent English is also essential
