We value flexibility andд listing local connections—you’ll be working across several vibrant areas in and around Hemel Hempstead, including:
- Hemel Hempstead & The Old Town
- Woodhall Farm, Grove Hill, Cupid Green, & Highfield
- Adeyfield & Bennetts End
- Boymoor, Warners End, & Leverstock Green
- Nash Mills, Apsley, & Manor Estate
You’ll navigate the famous Magic Roundabout and contribute to your neighbours’ well-being, all while immersing yourself in a welcoming and small-community setting. Your work makes a visible, exciting impact on the lives of those around you.
💷 Pay & Benefits
We believe great work deserves great recognition. Here’s what you’ll earn:
- Weekdays (Mon–Fri): £14.70 per hour
- Saturdays: £16.50 per hour
- Sundays: £16.50 per hour
Additionally, pay a generous mileage allowance – £0.30 per mile.
⏰ Shift Patterns
We offer a traditional schedule to support your personal and professional commitments:
- Day Shifts: 07:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Evening Shifts: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Operating 7 days a week means there is consistency so that our dedication to service users is never compromised!

💙 What You’ll Be Doing
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, your dedication will transform service users’ lives, helping individuals stay independent in their homes. Each day brings variety and purpose, including:
- Supporting daily personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming) with dignity and respect.
- Assisting with medication, including preparation and administration.
- Helping with mobility, ensuring use of aids and equipment is safe and effective.
- Preparing meals and offering support during mealtimes.
- Carrying out basic domestic duties, such as laundry, light cleaning, and bedmaking.
- Ensuring meaningful companionship, offering reassurance to service users.
- Encouraging social engagement and maintaining family connections.
- Monitoring health changes, promptly reporting to healthcare professionals and families.
- Detailed care documentation to ensure continuity of care.
- Responding safely and effectively to any emergencies.
- Collaborating with families and team members for seamless care delivery.
🦸 What You’ll Need (Qualifications & Character)
No prior social care experience is required! Our fully-paid training will equip you with all necessary skills— unlike any on-the-job learner can thrive here.
Essential Criteria:
- A full driving licence with access to a vehicle (this role requires mobile, client-centered care).
- Exceptional compassion, respect, and genuine care for others.
- Strong communication and listening skills to build trust easily.
- A progressive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Consistency, reliability, and a supportive, caring nature.
- Right to work in the UK.
