Care Assistant (Care Companion)
St Georges Nursing Home – An Allegra Care Home
£13.20 per hour | 36 hours per week

The role
We’re looking to welcome an experienced Care Assistant to join our close-knit team at St Georges Nursing Home. We call our Care Assistants Care Companions, because companionship, connection and trust are at the heart of this role.

You’ll work 36 hours per week on day shifts, delivering outstanding residential care in a supportive, family-focused environment.
Shifts & work–life balance
- Day or night shifts available
- Typical shifts: 8am–2pm, 2pm–8pm, or 8am–8pm (long day)
- Night shift 8pm-8am
- Alternate weekends, because work–life balance matters
- Flexibility to work either days or nights would be ideal, but availability can be discussed at interview
You’ll
About you
- Have experience in residential care
- Be committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Be kind, compassionate and respectful
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be comfortable using basic IT systems
- Enjoy working as part of a supportive team
