Home Instead Care Professional – Selby & Goole

Company Description

If you’re looking for a profession where you can bring your caring personality to work and change lives, look no further. We’re recruiting Care Professionals in the Selby and Goole areas to deliver exceptional home-based care for our clients.

Job Description

We believe care should never be rushed. Every visit with Home Instead lasts a minimum of one hour, allowing time for meaningful, person-centred relationships to develop.

What You’ll Receive

Compensation & Benefits

  • £13.50 per hour
  • Double-time pay on bank holidays
  • 30p per mile for travel between clients
  • 12–16 hours per week initially (expansion expected)
  • Every second weekend off

Your Availability

We’re looking for flexible and committed individuals who can work:

  • Shift patterns:
    • 7am–2.30pm
    • 3.45pm–9.45pm
  • Maximum of 16 hours per week
  • Alternate weekends (essential)
  • Ability to adapt for client continuity (some evenings or later starts)

Who We’re Looking For

While care experience is not required, the following qualities matter most:

  • Kind, patient, and reliable
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Strong judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Honest about your availability
  • Motivated to make a real impact
  • Must have access to your own car (driving is essential for this role)

Important Travel Information

  • Our clients reside across Castleford, Selby, and Goole.
  • We’re transparent about travel arrangements to avoid surprises.
  • This is not a local-based role—some travel between villages may be required.
  • Flexibility to rearrange appointments is crucial.
  • Not suited for those preferring a tightly restricted area.
