Company Description

We’re looking for kind, reliable Care Assistants to support older adults across Leigh and surrounding areas.

You be required to work Weekends- Morning & Lunches: 06:45-15.00 Morning & Lunches & Evenings: 16:00-22:00. (times can vary)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our weekend team in Leigh, United Kingdom. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults by providing personalized, unhurried care in their own homes during weekends.

  • Provide personal care assistance including mobility support, bathing, and grooming
  • Prepare nutritious meals and beverages to meet individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients
  • Offer companionship through conversation, activities, and emotional support
  • Assist with basic health-related tasks such as medication reminders and monitoring (training provided)
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties and daily living activities
  • Document care provided by using our secured password-protected app
  • Travel between client homes within the Leigh and surrounding area to provide consistent weekend coverage
  • Respond to client needs with patience, empathy, and professionalism
  • Follow individualized care plans and maintain confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom
  • Valid full driving license with access to reliable personal transportation
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Compassionate and caring personality with genuine interest in helping others
  • Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks
  • Strong reliability and punctuality, particularly for weekend scheduling commitments
  • Ability to work independently while following established care protocols
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs and weekend schedules
  • Willingness to complete background checks and obtain DBS clearance
  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in home care settings
  • Previous care experience preferred but not required - comprehensive training provided
  • Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and client dignity
