Support Worker
Location: Pencader, SA39 9HS
Employment Type:
- Part-time: 22.5 hours per week
- Full-time: 37.5 and 45 hours per week
Base Salary: Up to £13.45 per hour
Essentials
The ability to drive is essential for this post due to the service location. The T1 bus stop is immediately outside the service.
Qualifications:
- Full training provided.
- Higher pay offered for QCF Level 2 qualified candidates.

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide emotional and practical care in a residential setting. No prior experience is necessary – full training will be provided – though the right values and compassion are essential.
M&D Care is an established family-oriented business run by a passionate team of professionals. We deliver specialist, complex, and bespoke care services throughout Southwest Wales for individuals with Learning Disability, Physical Disability, and Mental Health needs.
Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities • Assist with daily living tasks, including:
- Personal care
- Meal preparation
- Medication management
- Shopping • Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities • Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support • Comply with regulatory standards from Social Care Wales and the Care Inspectorate Wales

Additional Information
- Contracted hours: Varied (22.5 – 45 hours per week)
- Includes weekends and night shifts on a rota basis
- No experience required – full training provided
- Opportunity to gain a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care post-probation (with full support)
