Care Assistant Zero Hours (nights) – Dementia Care
Location: Stroud House, Petersfield
Pay: £13.70 per hour + weekend enhancements
Hours: Zero-hours contract (nights)
Contract: Fixed Term with a view to becoming permanent

SDR is looking for a dedicated Care Assistants to join our friendly team at Stroud House Residential Care Home in Petersfield. This is an opportunity to work as part of a supportive night team, providing high-quality, person-centred care to older individuals, including residents living with dementia and complex needs.

About the Role
As a Care Assistant (nights), you will play an important role in ensuring our residents are safe, comfortable and well supported throughout the night.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care and support with daily living.
- Supporting residents throughout the night with their individual needs.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting residents' mobility, wellbeing and independence.
- Caring for residents living with dementia and complex needs.
- Following individual care plans and respecting personal choices.
- Completing accurate care records and reporting any concerns appropriately.
- Responding calmly and appropriately to residents' needs during the night.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide safe and high-quality care.
- Helping to maintain a calm, comfortable and welcoming environment throughout the night.

About Stroud House
Stroud House is a specialist 25-bed residential care home in Petersfield, providing a warm and homely environment for older people, including those living with complex dementia.
Our team is committed to providing person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Care Assistant within a care home, residential or healthcare setting.
- Has experience providing care during night shifts or is comfortable working nights.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting older people.
- Is compassionate, patient and respectful.
- Understands the importance of dignity, choice and independence.
- Is reliable and committed to delivering excellent care.
- Can work calmly and confidently during the night.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Is flexible and able to work on a zero-hours basis.
Experience supporting Individuals living with dementia would be highly desirable.
