Role Summary

Join Home Instead and deliver meaningful, one-hour care visits. Here, care should never be rushed, and relationships matter.

What You’ll Receive

  • £13/hour weekdays, £14 on weekends
  • Double time on bank holidays
  • £0.30 per mile for travel between clients
  • 12–16 hours per week to start (more as the rota grows)
  • Every second weekend off

Your Availability

We’re seeking candidates who can commit to:

  • Shifts: 7am - 2.30pm and 3.45pm - 9.45pm
  • Weekends: Alternate weekends (essential for this role)
  • Some flexibility to support continuity of care for clients

  • Companionship & meaningful conversation
  • Personal care (washing, dressing, bathing)
  • Light household tasks
  • Medication prompts & meal preparation
  • Accompanying clients to appointments or shopping

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential

✔ Valid UK Driving Licence ✔ Own vehicle with business-use insurance ✔ Right to work in the UK ✔ Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one) ✔ Satisfactory references from previous employers or character referees

Preferred

✔ Health & Safety awareness or basic training ✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ✔ Ability to maintain confidentiality ✔ Physical fitness and mobility to support care tasks ✔ Willingness to undertake dementia training ✔ Reliable transport & punctuality record ✔ Flexibility and adaptability for client continuity
