Job Title: Care Assistants
Location: South Shields, South Tyneside
Salary: GBP14.44 - GBP14.94 per hour + 35p per mile for driving roles
Job Type: Permanent: Full Time, Part Time or Casual (guaranteed hours available)
No care experience? No problem. We'll give you full paid training, two paid shadow shifts, and a fully funded Social Care diploma, so all you need to bring is a passion for helping others.

About The Role
As a Care Assistant, you'll visit clients in their own homes and out in the local community, helping them live well and keeping their pride and dignity. No two days are the same. You'll help with:
- Personal care
- Preparing meals
- Administering medicine
- Shopping and household tasks

We have a number of positions available and are recruiting for two types of role:
- Driving carers (3:4 roles): You'll need a full license and access to a vehicle, with mileage paid at 35p per mile.
- Walking carers (2:3 roles): No license needed, as you'll cover clients within walking distance of each other.
Shifts: Earlies (7am-3pm) and/or lates (3pm-11pm) on a rota, with some weekends. Choose the hours that fit around childcare, study, or other commitments.
Areas covered: Marsden, Whitburn, Cleadon, The Nook, Simonside, West Harton, Brockley Whins, Westoe, West Park, and Tyne Dock.
About You
- You're caring, compassionate, and a good listener.
- You enjoy building relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
- You can drive and have access to a vehicle (preferred).
- Experience is welcome but not required. Experienced carers with an up-to-date DBS check can start quickly.
