Bluebird Care Newmarket & Fenland is growing, and we are looking for an experienced and organised Care Coordinator to join our established team based at our Ely office.
About The Role
As Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of our home care service.
You will be responsible for planning and coordinating care schedules, matching our Care Professionals with customers, and ensuring we provide reliable, consistent care.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Planning and managing Care Professional rotas
- Matching Care Professionals with customers based on their needs, location, and continuity of care
- Responding to changes in care requirements and adjusting schedules when required
- Working closely with our Care Managers, Supervisors, and wider management team
- Building positive relationships with our Care Professionals, customers, and their families
- Supporting Care Professionals with day-to-day queries and challenges
- Helping to ensure care visits are delivered safely and on time
- Maintaining accurate information within our electronic care and rostering systems
- Supporting the growth and development of our care service
- Participating in the on-call rota, with additional payment
- Providing support within the community when required

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who understands care and, importantly, understands people.
You Will Need
- Previous experience working within health and social care
- Experience within domiciliary/community care would be particularly beneficial
- Experience coordinating care, managing rotas, or supervising care teams would be an advantage
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confidence using computer-based systems and technology
- The ability to remain calm and organised when priorities change
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
- A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
A Level 2 or above qualification in Health & Social Care would be advantageous, although we are more interested in finding the right person with the right care experience, attitude, and potential.
