About Avanti
At Avanti Homecare, we're proud to deliver outstanding homecare across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We're a family run organisation built on strong relationships, high standards and genuinely caring about both our clients and our people. We're now looking for someone who can help keep our branch organised, responsive and running smoothly. This is a great first step into management for someone with strong organisation, administration, communication and customer service skills. Every rota you build, every conversation you have and every problem you solve helps ensure someone receives the care they need, when they need it.
Keep Care Moving
Every day, a number of decisions happen behind the scenes before a single care call takes place. As a Care Coordinator, you'll be one of the team members making those decisions. You'll coordinate rotas, respond to changing priorities, solve operational problems and help ensure every client receives safe, reliable care. Your organisation, communication and judgement directly influence the quality of care we deliver.

- Work with the Senior Care Coordinator to produce and maintain rotas two weeks in advance
- Use systems, records and rotas accurately so the branch has reliable information to work from
- Respond to sickness, holidays and last minute client changes

- Respond to office alerts
- Escalate concerns appropriately
- Support care planning administration
- Cover care calls during office hours when required
- Participate in the paid on call rota (currently one week in every four), including evenings and weekends until 10:00pm.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
