Job Title: Care Group Manager
Contract: Permanent
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team
Clinical Support Services is a large and diverse care group incorporating Therapies, Pharmacy, Dietetics & SLT, Audiology, Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering. The teams within the care group are integral to the running of multiple and varied services across every part of the organisation and in the wider community. This brings with it opportunities and challenges, and as Care Group Manager you will be working alongside highly skilled, engaged and forward-thinking professionals to support the delivery of quality, responsive care to our patients.
The organisation-wide reach of this care group means that strong relationships and stakeholder engagement are particularly important in this role, as is supporting an organisation-wide culture that ensures the voices and perspectives of all healthcare professionals are represented and valued.
We welcome applications from people interested in working part-time or full-time (this role has previously been undertaken successfully by a part-time CGM).

What You’ll Do
- Oversee the operational delivery of all services in your care group to ensure safe care and effective use of all resources.
- Operational management responsibility for a wide group of internal and external stakeholders including specialty lead clinicians, matrons, operational managers within the care group - and across the Trust.
- Demonstrate your ability to manage a range of challenges from project delivery to policy and finance to working across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, keeping the patient at the heart of all that we do.
- Lead on service and Trust wide transformation projects and support the strategic development of services to ensure alignment to our Trust values.
What We’re Looking For
Compassionate leaders who can bring a track record of success in a complex, multi-site, patient-facing senior operational delivery and management position, with an ability to maximise the opportunities available within a rapidly changing healthcare community.
Proven experience in delivering operational excellence in a hospital setting and a track record of transforming the way services are delivered, whilst delivering financial efficiencies.
A supportive manager who can engage, empower, and support career growth in your teams.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Evidence of post qualification study/ professional development to master’s level or equivalent management experience
Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant experience of working in an acute healthcare or equivalent setting in a senior operational delivery/ management position
- Evidence of presenting complex information to internal and external groups in an understandable way
- Evidence of successful management and engagement to successfully deliver complex change
- Able to develop and implement policy, guidelines, and projects from initiation to completion
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex data, to facilitate operational delivery decisions to support KPIs
Specialist Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable knowledge of National and Local NHS; including national standards
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of a specialist area
- Knowledge of Patient and Public Involvement Programme
