Job Vacancy: Receptionist
Location: Bromley Park Care Centre, 75 Bromley Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 5PA
Contracted hours: 28 Hours - 2-week rotating rota, including working one weekend every two weeks. (Exact days to be discussed at interview).
Hourly rate of pay: From £13.00 per hour

About Us
We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist / Office Assistant to join our team.
You will be the first point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors and professionals coming into the home, so we are looking for someone who is welcoming, approachable and confident in dealing with people.
This is a varied role combining reception duties with general office and administrative support, helping the home to run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

Main Duties
- Greeting and welcoming visitors, relatives and visiting professionals to the home.
- Conducting show-arounds of the home for prospective residents and their families.
- Answering and transferring telephone calls, taking messages and dealing with enquiries professionally.
- Scanning documents and uploading staff training records onto the ASC platform.
- Providing general office and administrative support to the Home Manager and wider team.
- Maintaining accurate and organised records and filing.
- Ensuring confidential information is handled appropriately.
- Keeping the reception and office areas clean, tidy, safe and welcoming.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the reception and office.
- Prioritising tasks and working to required deadlines.
- Supporting the management team and other colleagues with administrative duties as required.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a reception, administration or similar role.
- Has excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Is organised, reliable and able to prioritise their workload.
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
- Is confident using computers and Microsoft Office.
- Can handle confidential information professionally.
- Is friendly, approachable and able to build positive relationships with residents, relatives, visitors and colleagues.
- Is able to work independently, use their own initiative and also work well as part of a team.
- Is adaptable and able to respond positively to the changing needs of a busy care home.

Previous experience working within a care home or similar environment would be desirable.
