An Exciting Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Homes for a Care Home Trainer. This role will be responsible for embedding training in our homes, and continuously improving standards.
The training team is committed to providing professional, respectful, and quality training, ensuring all staff are trained to the highest quality.

This role will require you to be flexible in your approach and will include some evening and weekend inductions. Alongside this, the post holder will be required to drive as there will be travel across our 9 homes.
Hours
40hrs per week
As a Home Training Assistant, You Will
- Support in the onboarding of new starters to ensure the best patient care is provided
- Carry out induction plans and complete 6 weeks of observed practice, provide useful and effective objectives and feedback
- Complete 12-week professional discussion for the Care Certificate
- Support employees with any performance issues and devise action plans in conjunction with the home manager
- Observe homes and employees working practices for any additional training needs they may have
- Assess and complete competency with new and existing staff, including medication
- Keep up-to-date records
More About You
- Working knowledge of the care sector
- NVQ 3-5 in Health and Social Care
- Passionate about improving others' skills, with a focus on driving improvements in the training delivered
- Kind, caring, positive approach
- Flexibility in response to changing business needs
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Able to use Microsoft Office

- Salary of up to £30,000 - £33,000 per annum (Dependent on experience and qualification)
