Role Description

Nestora Home Care is seeking an experienced, capable and values-led Registered Manager to lead and develop our established domiciliary care service.

We are ideally looking for someone with previous Registered Manager or senior domiciliary care management experience.

We would also consider an exceptional Deputy Manager, Care Coordinator or Care Supervisor who has substantial supervisory experience, strong knowledge of domiciliary care and can demonstrate that they are ready to progress into registered management.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the service, strengthen quality and compliance, lead the office and care teams and support the safe and sustainable growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of the domiciliary care service.
  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and relevant care standards.
  • Ensure care is safe, person-centred, reliable and responsive.
  • Lead, support and hold accountable the office and care teams.
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, audits, reviews and staff compliance.
  • Manage complaints, safeguarding matters, incidents and staff performance.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training and staff retention.
  • Improve systems, communication and accountability across the service.
  • Monitor service performance and provide clear, transparent reports to the director.
  • Support the safe and sustainable growth and development of the service.
  • Participate in the on-call rota where required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Significant experience within domiciliary care.
  • Previous Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or senior supervisory experience.
  • A strong understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding and quality assurance.
  • Experience managing staff, service delivery and operational challenges.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to make decisions and deal calmly with difficult situations.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, workforce planning and staff performance.
  • A Level 5 qualification in Adult Care Leadership and Management, or a willingness to work towards it.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager is strongly preferred. However, applications will also be considered from exceptional senior care professionals who can demonstrate the knowledge, experience and leadership ability required to progress into the role.
