About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Service Manager to lead our six-bed residential service in Woodley, Reading, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health needs.

This is a well-established service with a settled and experienced team, creating an excellent opportunity for a strong and confident leader to build on existing strengths, drive quality standards and continue delivering outstanding person-centred support.

As Registered Service Manager, you will work closely with local authorities, healthcare professionals, families and internal stakeholders to ensure the people we support achieve positive outcomes, maximise their independence and lead fulfilling lives. You will provide inspirational leadership to your team, ensuring the service remains compliant, safe and focused on delivering the highest standards of care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the service
  • Leading, supporting and developing the staff team
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
  • Ensuring CQC and regulatory requirements are consistently met
  • Completing audits, reports and service reviews
  • Managing staffing, recruitment and performance within the service
  • Working in partnership with families, professionals and commissioners
  • Managing service budgets and resources effectively
  • Driving a positive, person-centred culture across the service
  • Participating in the on-call rota as required

About You

We're looking for a confident and experienced manager who has:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a regulated care setting
  • Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs
  • A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Experience driving quality and service improvement
  • A passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care

Essential Criteria

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, currently working towards completion, or willing to undertake the qualification
  • 2-3 years' experience in a Deputy Manager, Service Manager or equivalent leadership role within a regulated care environment
  • Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and associated Mental Health needs
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, compliance requirements and quality standards
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
  • Sound knowledge of governance, safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
