Company Description
Home Instead Canterbury covers Canterbury, Faversham, Whitstable, Herne Bay, and surrounding areas. We support our ageing and vulnerable adults to stay in their own homes for longer with quality care. Owners Sean and Charlotte opened the business in January 2021 and we have gone from strength to strength and are proud to have a current 9.4 out of 10 rating on Homecare.co.uk, the UK's leading Care Review site. We are registered with CQC and deemed by them to be rated as GOOD across the board.
If you’re looking for a profession where you can bring your caring personality to work and change lives, look no further. We’re looking for Care Professionals who have good availability, have access to reliable transportation as some of our clients require accompanying to Doctor’s visits etc, and who want to join an award-winning company and be part of the Home Instead family. While we welcome experienced Care Pro's, our employees don't necessarily need experience as we have an award-winning training scheme for all employees and prioritize matching care pro's to clients according to the clients needs and wants as well as shared interests.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
