Care & Support Apprenticeship at Caring @ Home
Start your career in care with our Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship. Gain valuable hands-on experience supporting adults with their daily needs while earning, learning, and developing the skills needed for a rewarding career in health and social care.
Apprenticeship Overview:
- Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
- Working Week: Monday - Sunday (30 hours per week, shift to be confirmed)
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Duration: 13 months
- Qualification: Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship standard qualification
- Training: Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
- Location: Nexus Business Centre, 6 Darby Close, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 2PN
As an Adult Care Apprentice, you will:
- Deliver safe, respectful and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and/or supported living settings.
- Support with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, meals and hydration.
- Provide medication support where trained, competent and authorised.
- Encourage independence, wellbeing and participation in social and community activities.
- Observe and report changes in individuals' health and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
- Follow care plans, risk assessments and Caring@Home Ltd policies and procedures.
- Comply with safeguarding, health and safety and infection control requirements.
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues and other professionals.
- Complete apprenticeship training, attend learning sessions and work towards achieving the apprenticeship qualification.
