Turn Furlong
Based in Kingsthorpe, Northampton, Turn Furlong provides an integrated health and social care service for people requiring short-term support following discharge from hospital.
The Recovering Independence Bed (RIB) Unit
Supports individuals to regain their confidence, independence, and daily living skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Delivered through a partnership between health and social care professionals, the service provides rehabilitation, reablement, clinical care, and care support, helping people achieve the best possible outcomes and return to living as independently as possible.
About You
As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside senior nurses, staff nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, and social care colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
The Focus of the Service
Rehabilitation and reablement, supporting people who no longer require acute hospital care but would benefit from additional support to recover, build confidence, and maximize their independence before returning home or moving to longer-term care arrangements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Play a key role in supporting people following discharge from hospital.
- Work alongside health and social care professionals to help individuals regain confidence, rebuild daily living skills, and maximize their independence in a safe and supportive environment.
- Support people with their personal care, mobility, nutrition, wellbeing, and rehabilitation goals.
- Work closely with nurses, therapists, social care colleagues, and healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred support that enables people to achieve the best possible outcomes.

What You'll Gain

Example 4-Week Rolling Rota
- Week 1: Tuesday and Thursday
- Week 2: Saturday and Sunday
- Week 3: Tuesday and Wednesday
- Week 4: Saturday and Sunday

- Unfortunately, this role does not meet the requirements for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
- This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.
