Play a vital role in leading our established residential service at Greenland’s View in Birmingham.

Working alongside our Service Manager, you’ll help shape the day-to-day delivery of person-centred care, coordinate your team’s activities, support their development, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support in all aspects of their life.

Full Time | 37.5 Hours per Week

At Lifeways, we're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Care Team Leader to join our welcoming team at Greenlands View in Bartley Green.

This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a passionate team, support people with learning disabilities and mental health needs, and make a lasting impact every day. Whether you're already working as a Team Leader or you're an experienced Senior Support Worker ready for progression, we'd love to hear from you.

Greenlands View is a modern, spacious residential service designed to support people to live as independently as possible in a safe and comfortable environment.

Located in the peaceful residential area of Bartley Green, Greenlands View offers the perfect balance of tranquillity and community connection.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Care Team Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring the people we support receive high-quality, person-centred care while helping your team thrive.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading, motivating and supporting a team of Support Workers
  • Providing coaching, supervision and guidance to colleagues
  • Conducting interviews, supervisions and development discussions
  • Promoting independence, choice and positive outcomes
  • Building strong relationships with families, healthcare professionals and external partners
  • Ensuring care documentation is accurate and completed to a high standard
  • Maintaining a safe, positive and empowering environment
  • Championing Lifeways values and best practice every day

Shift Patterns

Flexibility is essential as shifts are worked according to the needs of the service.

Typical Shifts Include

  • Early: 7:30am - 2:30pm
  • Late: 2:30pm - 9:30pm
  • Long Day: 7:30am - 9:30pm
  • Night: 9:30pm - 7:30am

Occasional short-notice cover may be required.


What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and supporting others to succeed.

  • Care Team Leader
  • Senior Support Worker
  • Experienced Support Worker ready for your next challenge

Essential:

  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health needs
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A positive and proactive approach
  • A genuine commitment to person-centred care

Desirable:

  • NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Experience leading, mentoring or supervising staff
  • Confidence in managing documentation and care records
