Role Overview

As a Care Worker in our care home, you will play a key role in supporting older people to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity each day. Through practical support, encouragement, and companionship, you'll help residents maintain their independence, achieve their personal goals, and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Whether you're supporting someone with their morning routine, helping them take part in an activity they enjoy, or simply being there to listen, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.

What You Will Do

  • Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
  • Assist with meals and encourage good nutrition and hydration
  • Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing
  • Encourage participation in activities and social opportunities
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Provide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support
  • Maintain accurate records and follow care procedures and best practice

About You

You will be caring, reliable, and committed to supporting older people to live well. You'll enjoy working as part of a team and understand the importance of treating every resident with dignity, respect, and compassion. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential. We're equally interested in people with the right values, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to support others.

You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
