Care Workers/Support Workers will promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in daily activities, maintain social connections, and access community resources. The position requires:

  • Accurate record-keeping
  • Clear communication with colleagues and families
  • Adherence to all relevant health, safety, and safeguarding procedures

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills to build trust and provide respectful, person-centered support.
  • Practical caregiving abilities, including safe moving and handling, assistance with personal care, and basic household support.
  • Reliability, time-management skills, and attention to detail for accurate documentation and consistent delivery of care.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety practices within a home care setting.
  • Relevant experience in care, support work, or a similar role is beneficial; a care-related qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to undertake training, including mandatory care courses, and to follow company policies and procedures is essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays as required; a valid right to work in the UK is required.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are beneficial for reaching clients’ homes, depending on service needs.
