Volunteer Opportunity: Modern Career & CV Advisor (Remote, UK-Wide)

Careers Springboard is a registered UK charity that provides a vital lifeline to managers, professionals, and graduates navigating job loss or career changes. Built on mutual support, its community offers free guidance, from CV support and LinkedIn profile optimisation to mock interviews and career coaching.

To keep pace with today’s hiring landscape, the charity is modernising its support model. They are seeking empathetic, tech-savvy recruiters, HR professionals, or similarly skilled professionals who want to give back by volunteering as CV Advisors.

How You’ll Give Back

Working 1-on-1 with charity members, from recent graduates to experienced senior managers, you’ll share your insider hiring knowledge to help them stand out in the competitive job market.

  • Helping the Charity Evolve: Bring fresh, contemporary ideas to the volunteer team to help update digital guidance notes, templates, and advice tools.

  • Relevant Experience: Practical background in recruitment, HR, talent acquisition, career coaching, or professional CV writing.

Time Commitment & Location

  • Role Type: Voluntary
  • Location: 100% Remote (Must be UK-based)
  • Hours: Completely flexible. Volunteer as much or as little as your schedule allows (sessions typically take 45–60 minutes per member).
  • Community: Optional access to weekly Monday evening Zoom sessions (7:30–9:00 PM) to connect with members and fellow volunteers.
