Careers Adviser

To start as soon as possible. We are looking to appoint a Careers Adviser to join our progressive careers department to help equip students to thrive in their next steps. The successful candidate would be part of a key team who oversee the school’s careers education and work experience programme providing CEIAG guidance (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance) to pupils via individual appointments, Drop-In sessions, Group workshops or sessions delivered as part of our SPHERE programme or curriculum specific events. The careers team also oversee and produce a range of resources for students to use to plan their next steps.

A qualification in Careers Guidance at Level 6 or above is highly desirable; however, applicants without this qualification but with relevant experience and a willingness to complete the training alongside the role are actively encouraged to apply.

The post is for 4 days per week: 28 hours per week, based on 8.00am to 4.10pm, Monday to Thursday, term time (38 weeks) plus 5 staff learning days; equalling 39 weeks per annum.

Starting salary for a full-time post at Band G (points 12-18) is within the range £28,598 to £31,537, starting point depending on experience and qualifications.

The actual salary for the hours / weeks worked will be in the range of £18,749 - £20,676 subject to any continuous service.
