Are you ready to help shape the future of young people by supporting them to discover meaningful career paths?

Lift Kingswood is looking for a skilled Careers Advisor to join our team, where we believe every child deserves an excellent education, in every classroom, every day.

We are a values-led school committed to creating inclusive learning environments where students feel supported to achieve their potential. Would you like to work somewhere that prioritises individuality, celebrates diversity, and builds trusted relationships with students, families, and partners?

About The Role

This role offers a genuine chance to make a difference. Working under the school Careers Lead, you'll provide tailored career guidance that meets the needs of every student, helping them explore options, build skills, and prepare for their next steps in education, training, or employment. Does supporting young people to achieve excellent outcomes sound rewarding to you?

Key Responsibilities

  • 1-on-1 Guidance & Action Planning: Deliver tailored 1-on-1 career guidance, mock interviews, and action plans to help students set goals and secure positive Y11/Y13 destination outcomes.
  • Programme Delivery & Workshops: Collaborate on the school's career guidance programme to meet Gatsby Benchmarks, delivering sessions on CV writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Information & LMI Management: Maintain up-to-date career resources, digital tools, and Labour Market Information (LMI) covering further education, apprenticeships, and employment routes.
  • Employer & Partner Networks: Build relationships with local employers, universities, colleges, and training providers to coordinate work placements and external opportunities.
  • Inclusive Support & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with parents, carers, and specialist services (e.g., SEND) to ensure career provision is fully accessible and tailored to all student needs.
  • Record Keeping & SLT Reporting: Maintain detailed, accessible records of all individual guidance sessions and report regularly on CEIAG provision to the Careers Leader and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Destination Tracking & Evaluation: Track, evaluate, and report on programme effectiveness using student feedback, surveys, and long-term destination data.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
