Consortium Trust are seeking to appoint a Careers Advisor to support our students as they plan for their futures. Careers Advisors in special schools play a vital role in guiding students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to overcome barriers to education and employment by exploring opportunities, building confidence, and helping individuals make informed decisions about their next steps.

This is a rewarding opportunity to empower our young people with the structure, encouragement, and belief they need to reach their full potential.

You will provide personalised support, help develop meaningful and achievable career plans, and ensure that each young person’s voice is central to the guidance process. This role involves working with employers, colleges, and training providers to create engaging and appropriate workplace experiences that are tailored to each student’s needs.

We welcome applicants who are empathetic and passionate about supporting young people, whether you are at an early stage in your careers guidance journey, or are looking to develop further within this field. Full training and professional development opportunities are available.

The Consortium Trust demonstrates and implements safeguarding protocols in all aspects of their working practices and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, and this will include social media checks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
