Internal Opportunity – Careers and Pathway Leader (Lift Tendring)
Additional allowance: £2,500 annually
We are looking for a dedicated and organised colleague to take a lead role in developing and coordinating our school's careers and employability programme.
Working closely with students, staff, employers, and external partners, you will help ensure our students have access to meaningful careers guidance, work experience, and post-18 opportunities. You will lead on UCAS and post-18 progression, coordinate work experience through Unifrog, and develop strong relationships with employers, FE providers, and other organisations.
You will also work with curriculum and subject leaders to embed careers across all key stages, track student destinations, and use careers data to identify where additional support may be needed.

The role will also involve leading and quality assuring the wider careers programme, including careers events and monitoring progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks and Compass report.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with FE providers, employers, businesses, external organisations, and other Careers Leaders, sharing best practice and creating opportunities for students.
- Lead UCAS and post-18 progression, including applications, personal statements, references, and support for university, apprenticeships, and employment pathways.
- Coordinate and promote work experience (WEX), including employer engagement, communication with students and parents, and management through Unifrog.
- Ensure careers and employability are embedded across the curriculum and all key stages, working with curriculum and subject leaders to develop meaningful career links.
- Track student destinations and careers progress, using appropriate MI systems to identify students requiring additional or tailored support.
- Lead the school's wider careers programme and quality assurance, including careers events and monitoring/evidencing progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks and Compass report.
