Careers and Progression Adviser for Inclusion

About the Role

We are looking for a Careers and Progression Adviser for Inclusion to support our students with advice, guidance and careers development. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone to make valuable contribution and a real difference, inspiring students about their next steps and progression opportunities.

You will go into the Local Government Pensions scheme and enjoy some really great benefits as well, including Free on-site Gym at Beaufort Road, Beauty treatments and haircuts, Health care cash plan via Simply Health, saving clubs via Manchester Credit Union, Cycle to work, Costa Coffee on site, Onsite bakery products at Tameside One, The Restaurant at Tameside One, Retail discounts, Refectories on all sites.

Responsibilities

You will lead a very strong team and play a pivotal role in implementing the careers strategy, design and deliver high quality careers activities across the college. You will be working closely with teaching and support staff to develop students’ careers and progression. You will provide line management, motivate and inspire a team of Advisors to enable them to thrive in their role.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Flexibility and a motivated approach to offering careers guidance and support
  • Recent experience of providing information, advice and guidance
  • Up-to-date knowledge of careers frameworks and support
  • A Level 6 or above qualification in Careers Guidance
  • Experience of the issues facing young people with barriers to their learning and progression
