Journeyman Plumber
St. Joseph’s Construction Company is a sister company to the College of St Joseph the Worker operating in the shared mission of restoring and revitalizing the tri-state area. The Company provides on-the-job training to the students of the College. The Company has a service department that serves the local community. In this position, the Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, and operation of the plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings that are appointed to him by his foreman or other supervisor. This includes but is not limited to; installing piping, hangers, or fixtures within DWV, domestic water, or fuel gas systems during projects for the company. Also compiling material take-offs and coordinating material for delivery or pick-up.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing work on jobsites in residential and commercial settings.
- Always perform work with integrity and professionalism. Respecting the customer’s home or place of business and maintaining a clean and orderly work space.
- Maintain work vehicle inventory and cleanliness throughout the work week. Vehicle interior and exterior should be clean and neat at all times.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness with invoices, time cards, and other paperwork.
- Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.
- Participate actively in all training exercises and morning meetings.
- Train and mentor apprentices while performing accurate renovations and installations.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Hold a journeyman license or certificate in one of the fifty states, or have 2 - 4 years of unsupervised plumbing installation experience within a state that does not require a journeyman level credential.
- In-depth knowledge of the most common plumbing systems.
- Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- Must uphold and live out the orthodox teaching of the Catholic Church.
- Must have good work ethics and show a positive attitude toward the trade and daily work.
- Must have the ability to relocate to Steubenville, OH.
- Must have the ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Adhere to all company policies and processes.
- Must hold an active journeyman plumbing license in one of the fifty states or have equivalent experience.

Beneficial Certification/Licenses/Experience (not Required):
- Backflow testing certification.
- Cast in place piping (CIPP) experience.
- Experience with inspection and/or leak detection equipment.
- Medical gas certification.
- Welding certifications.
- OSHA 10, 30.
- Excavator and/or skid steer Operator.
